Email aliases
An alias is an extra address that delivers to your inbox. Your primary address stays
you@your-team.knobs.io (or your custom domain), and aliases like sales@… or jd@… route
to the same place — handy for role addresses, short handles, or keeping signup mail separate.
Add an alias
Section titled “Add an alias”- Open Settings → Profile.
- Find the Email aliases section.
- Type the address you want (the part before the
@) and add it.
If your workspace has more than one verified domain, a domain picker lets you choose which domain the alias lives on.
Mail sent to any of your aliases arrives in your normal inbox alongside everything else.
Remove an alias
Section titled “Remove an alias”In the same Email aliases section, remove an alias you no longer want. Mail sent to a removed alias no longer reaches you.
For workspace admins
Section titled “For workspace admins”Admins control whether members can create aliases at all: the Email aliases toggle lives in Settings → Domains. When it’s off, existing aliases keep working but members can’t add new ones.
Group addresses
Section titled “Group addresses”Aliases are personal — one address, one inbox. If you need an address that fans out to several
people (like support@ going to a whole team), that’s a group address, managed by admins in
workspace settings. Mail to a group address is delivered to every member of the group.
