Billing
Billing is per workspace: each workspace has its own plan, seats, and usage, shown under Settings → Billing. If you belong to several workspaces, each is billed independently.

- Every workspace starts on Free — no credit card, live immediately on its
your-team.knobs.iosubdomain. - Team is trial-eligible: full Team entitlements during the trial, and a downgrade back to Free if it ends without payment — nothing is deleted.
- Business adds headroom: more storage and AI, priority @Web, higher rate limits.
A seat is an active workspace member.
- On Free, invites beyond 3 members are declined until you upgrade — see Members & invites.
- On paid plans, seats adjust automatically: inviting someone adds a prorated seat, removing someone frees it. There’s nothing to reconcile by hand.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”Storage is pooled across the workspace — seats × the per-seat allowance, shared by everyone. It covers Drive files, mail attachments, and doc content.
Approaching the limit is graceful:
- At the soft cap, admins see a warning — everything keeps working.
- At the hard cap, new uploads and incoming attachments are declined until you free space or upgrade. Existing data always stays readable.
AI and @Web usage
Section titled “AI and @Web usage”AI features — mail summaries and reply suggestions, @Web research runs, voice — draw from monthly workspace quotas. When a quota is reached, those features pause until the period resets or the plan changes; the rest of the suite is unaffected.
If a payment fails
Section titled “If a payment fails”There’s a grace period while the card is retried. If it still fails, the workspace becomes read-only until the invoice clears — your team can read and export everything, but writes pause. Data is never deleted for non-payment.
