CRM overview
The CRM is the relationship layer of your workspace. Because your mail already lives in Knobs, the CRM largely builds itself: every message you send or receive can create or update the matching contact and company and log the exchange on their timeline — no browser extension, no mailbox sync, no manual data entry.
The CRM app
Section titled “The CRM app”Open CRM from the app rail. Three views:
- Companies — one record per organization, keyed by its web domain. Click a row to open the detail panel: enriched firmographics, the AI account summary, and the activity timeline.
- Contacts — one record per person, keyed by email. The detail panel shows their role, company, lead score, and history.
- Deals — a drag-and-drop pipeline board. Drag cards between stages; mark deals won or lost from the side panel.
Records created automatically from mail carry an auto badge; fields filled by enrichment show a small provenance dot naming the data source. Anything you edit by hand is protected — enrichment never overwrites a manual value.
What’s automatic
Section titled “What’s automatic”- Capture — new counterparties in your mail become contacts (and companies, unless the address is at a free-mail provider like gmail.com); every message is logged as an activity.
- Enrichment — new records are enriched from the configured data providers, and refreshed when the data goes stale or an email hard-bounces.
- Scoring — each new activity re-scores the lead (0–100) with a short rationale and a suggested next step.
All three are on by default and can be turned off per workspace in Settings → CRM (admin only). See Auto-capture, Enrichment, and AI features.
